Policy
Short version: we collect only what is necessary to run Relic. We do not sell your data. The Relic Launcher app collects nothing.
01 / What we collect
When you use relic.earth, we collect the information you provide directly — your email address to send a magic-link login, your phone number if you choose to receive SMS updates, and any project details you enter. We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging. We do not collect data beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
02 / Relic Launcher (Android app)
The Relic Launcher Android app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app uses the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission solely to display your installed applications in the home screen grid and app drawer — this list never leaves your device. Theme preferences and Pro unlock status are stored locally in your device's shared preferences. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs are included.
03 / How we use your information
We use your email address to send authentication links and project-related notifications. We use your phone number, if provided, to send SMS updates about your project. We use server logs to monitor for abuse and diagnose errors. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not sell your data to anyone.
04 / Third-party services
Relic uses a small number of third-party services to operate: Vercel for hosting, Postmark for transactional email, Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, and Google Maps for location features. Each service receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
05 / Data retention
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@relic.earth. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
06 / Security
Authentication uses short-lived magic links — we never store passwords. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We apply timing-safe comparison for all authentication tokens. We conduct regular security reviews of our codebase.
